My sync is stuck or taking much longer than usual
A sync job has been running for over an hour with no progress, or the sync status spinner never goes away. This usually points to a very large data pull, a temporary LinkedIn API slowdown, or a background queue backup.
You triggered a sync and the progress indicator has been spinning for a long time with no visible updates to your company data or attribution numbers. The sync status may show Running but the phase has not advanced.
Why this happens
Revenue Proven runs a multi-phase sync pipeline across five lookback windows (7, 30, 60, 90, and 180 days). The first sync after connecting a large ad account with many campaigns and companies can take 30-90 minutes. Subsequent syncs are faster because only new data is fetched. A sync can also appear stuck if LinkedIn's API is rate-limiting requests, or if a background job queue has backed up due to high load.
How to fix it
- Wait at least 90 minutes for a first-time sync on a large account before assuming it is stuck.
- Refresh the dashboard page to get the latest sync status, since the status indicator uses a polling interval.
- If the sync shows Running for more than two hours with no data appearing at all, try canceling it by navigating away and back, then trigger a fresh manual sync.
- Check whether your LinkedIn connection is still Active in Settings > Connections; a disconnected LinkedIn integration causes all sync phases to silently fail.
- If you recently changed your selected ad accounts under Settings, the first sync on the new account will start from scratch and take longer.
- Avoid triggering multiple manual syncs in quick succession; queuing duplicate jobs can cause delays.
Still stuck?
Contact support and let us know the approximate time the sync started. We can inspect the job queue and sync phase logs to identify exactly where it stalled and unstick it if needed.
