Salesforce connection shows an error or says token expired

Your Salesforce integration displays a connection error or an expired token warning in Settings > Connections. CRM syncs fail and deal data stops updating. Reconnecting usually resolves it but requires the right Salesforce user.

The Salesforce connection card in Settings > Connections shows a red error badge or a message indicating the access token has expired or the session is invalid. Sync jobs for CRM data fail and your attribution numbers stop updating.

Why this happens

Salesforce OAuth sessions can expire when a Salesforce admin resets the connected user's password, when a Salesforce session policy forces periodic expiry, when the connected user's profile loses API access, or when the Salesforce sandbox was refreshed and your credentials now point at a stale org.

How to fix it

  • Go to Settings > Connections and click Disconnect next to Salesforce if a broken connection entry is showing.
  • Confirm the Salesforce user you plan to reconnect with has the API Enabled permission in their Salesforce profile.
  • Confirm that user also has read access to Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, and the fields Revenue Proven needs.
  • Click Connect Salesforce and complete the OAuth flow as that Salesforce user.
  • After reconnecting, check the Connections page to confirm the status switches to Active.
  • Trigger a manual sync and watch the sync progress indicator; the first CRM pull may take a few minutes.
  • If your Salesforce org enforces IP allow-listing, ensure Revenue Proven's server IPs are in the trusted range. Contact support for the current IP list.

Still stuck?

Share your Salesforce org URL (the part before .salesforce.com) and the error message text with our support team. We can identify whether the issue is a permission gap, an IP restriction, or an API limit.
