My LinkedIn Ads account won't connect or OAuth keeps failing
You click Connect LinkedIn and land back on the Connections page with an error, or the browser shows a blank redirect screen. This usually means your LinkedIn app permissions or token state need to be reset.
You initiated the LinkedIn OAuth flow but were redirected back to Settings > Connections with an error message, or the authorization never completed. The connection card still shows Disconnected.
Why this happens
LinkedIn OAuth can fail for several reasons: a previous authorization attempt left a stale state token, your LinkedIn account lacks Campaign Manager access on the ad account you're trying to connect, the browser blocked the redirect pop-up, or a browser extension interfered with the OAuth window.
How to fix it
- Open Settings > Connections and click Disconnect next to LinkedIn if a partial connection exists, then wait 10 seconds.
- Clear your browser cookies for linkedin.com and revenueproven.com, or open a fresh private/incognito window.
- Make sure you are logged into LinkedIn as the user who has Campaign Manager access to the ad account you want to connect.
- Disable any browser extensions that intercept redirects (ad blockers, privacy managers) for the duration of the connection flow.
- Click Connect LinkedIn again and complete the permission prompt without navigating away or switching tabs.
- If the error mentions "scope not authorized," your LinkedIn Developer App may not have the required Marketing API scopes. Contact support so we can verify your app configuration.
- If the redirect URL shows an error code from LinkedIn, note the code and share it with support for faster diagnosis.
Still stuck?
Use the Contact Support link in the app footer and include a screenshot of the error message plus your LinkedIn account email. We can check the server-side OAuth log to pinpoint the exact failure step.
