CRM deals are not matching to LinkedIn company engagement

Your CRM is synced and shows deals, but the company-level attribution table shows those companies with zero deals or no influenced pipeline. The domain-matching step likely needs better data in your CRM.

You can see companies in the attribution table that you know exist in your CRM with open or closed deals, but the Influenced Deals and Influenced Revenue columns show zero or dashes for those companies.

Why this happens

Revenue Proven matches LinkedIn companies to CRM companies using a two-step process: first by website domain (for example, matching acme.com from LinkedIn to acme.com in your CRM), then by fuzzy company name if no domain match is found. Matching fails when CRM company records have no website populated, when the LinkedIn company URL differs from the CRM website field (for example, a regional subdomain vs the root domain), or when the CRM deal is attached to a contact rather than a company account.

How to fix it

  • Open your CRM and find the company records that correspond to the unmatched LinkedIn companies. Add or correct the website domain field for those records.
  • Ensure deals in your CRM are associated with company records, not only with contacts or leads. Revenue Proven traces deals through company associations.
  • Check that the domain format is consistent: use root domains (example.com) rather than full URLs (https://www.example.com) in your CRM website field where possible.
  • After updating CRM company records, run a manual sync in Revenue Proven so the matching phase re-runs with the improved data.
  • Review the date range on the dashboard. If the deal closed outside the visible date range, change the filter to Last 180 days.
  • For Salesforce users, confirm that Opportunity records are linked to Account objects and not only to Contact objects.
