How long does the first sync take?

The first sync typically takes 10 to 40 minutes depending on the size of your ad account and CRM, as it pulls up to 180 days of engagement across all campaigns and companies.

The first sync is the most data-intensive because it pulls all historical engagement across every active lookback window without any existing cache to build on. Subsequent daily syncs are incremental and complete much faster.

Factors that affect first sync duration

  • Number of campaigns in your LinkedIn ad account
  • Number of unique companies that engaged with your ads across 180 days
  • Number of company and deal records in your CRM
  • LinkedIn API rate limits, which Revenue Proven respects automatically
  • Whether matching needs to run the fuzzy name-similarity phase

What to expect during the first sync

You can watch progress in real time on the Connections page. The dashboard shows which phase is currently running. Data will begin to appear in the attribution table only after matching and attribution phases complete, which happen near the end of the sync. During the sync, the dashboard shows a banner indicating that data is being populated for the first time.

After the first sync completes

Once the first sync finishes, your Company Insights table, Campaign Analytics dashboard, and attribution KPIs will all be populated. Daily syncs from that point run incrementally using the last sync cursor stored in the database, pulling only new engagement data and updated CRM records. These typically complete in a few minutes.
