How do I connect a LinkedIn Ads account?
Connect your LinkedIn Ads account from the Connections page using OAuth. You will need Campaign Manager access and the correct LinkedIn scopes granted during authorization.
Connecting a LinkedIn Ads account is the first step to getting attribution data into Revenue Proven. The connection uses OAuth 2.0, so your credentials are never stored. Revenue Proven only receives an access token that lets it read your ad engagement data on your behalf.
Steps to connect
- Go to Connections in the dashboard sidebar
- Click Connect next to LinkedIn Ads
- Sign in to LinkedIn and authorize the requested permissions
- Select the ad account you want to sync from the dropdown
- Click Save to complete the connection
Permissions required
Revenue Proven requests read access to your ad analytics and campaign data. The scopes include r_ads_reporting for reading engagement metrics and rw_ads for campaign discovery. You must have Campaign Manager role or higher on the ad account in LinkedIn Campaign Manager for the authorization to succeed. If you see a permissions error after connecting, verify your role in Campaign Manager.
Token storage and security
After authorization, Revenue Proven encrypts your access token using AES-256-GCM before storing it in the database. The raw token is never written to disk or logged. Tokens are automatically refreshed before they expire, and the dashboard shows when your token was last verified so you know the connection is healthy.
