What does Competitor Intel show?

Competitor Intel uses the LinkedIn Ad Library to pull active ads from your competitors and generates an AI comparative analysis of messaging, creative strategy, and positioning.

Competitor Intelligence in Revenue Proven gives you a view into what your competitors are running on LinkedIn. You enter your company name, and Revenue Proven uses an LLM to discover your top competitors, then pulls their active ads from the LinkedIn Ad Library and generates a comparative analysis.

How the analysis works

The analysis runs in four stages. First, the LLM identifies up to ten distinct competitors based on your company name. Second, Revenue Proven fetches up to eight active ads per company from the LinkedIn Ad Library. Third, the LLM generates a comparative report covering messaging themes, creative styles, strengths and weaknesses per competitor, and strategic recommendations. The full process typically takes 30 to 90 seconds.

What you see in the output

  • AI-generated analysis of each competitor's ad strategy and messaging
  • Strengths and weaknesses per competitor relative to your positioning
  • Overall strategic recommendations based on the competitive landscape
  • Ad thumbnails and copy for each fetched ad (from the LinkedIn Ad Library)

Requirements and limitations

Competitor Intelligence requires a LinkedIn connection with the r_ad_library scope, which LinkedIn grants only after Ad Library access approval for your developer application. If your LinkedIn app does not have this approval yet, the feature will show an empty state with guidance on how to apply. Each tenant is rate limited to ten competitor analysis requests per minute.
