Connect Salesforce
Connect Salesforce to pull accounts, opportunities, contacts, and pipeline stages so Revenue Proven can attribute LinkedIn ad engagement to your Salesforce revenue data.
Salesforce is supported as an alternative CRM source alongside HubSpot. If your team uses Salesforce as the system of record for pipeline and revenue, connecting it allows Revenue Proven to match LinkedIn engagement to Salesforce accounts and opportunities.
Before you connect
Your Salesforce user account needs API access enabled. This is typically available on Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions. Contact your Salesforce administrator if you are unsure whether API access is enabled for your user profile.
- API access must be enabled on your Salesforce user profile.
- Revenue Proven reads Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, and Opportunity Stage definitions.
- The Salesforce connection uses OAuth 2.0 just like the HubSpot integration.
- Revenue Proven uses the Account website field as the primary matching key against LinkedIn company domains.
- Opportunity amounts and close dates are used to calculate influenced pipeline and revenue.
Completing the connection
Go to Settings, then Connections. Click Connect next to Salesforce. The Salesforce OAuth window will open. Log in with your Salesforce credentials and click Allow when prompted to grant access. You will be returned to Revenue Proven with the Salesforce card showing Connected. If your Salesforce instance is on a custom domain, the OAuth flow will handle that automatically.
Won stage configuration
After connecting, Revenue Proven will ask you to identify which opportunity stage represents a closed-won deal. This is important because Revenue Proven uses the stage label to calculate influenced revenue correctly. Navigate to Settings, then Salesforce Configuration to set your won stage.
